Whether you are a coach for a high school varsity team or a competitive recreation league, you and your coaching staff should attend. Character Combine has been made available by people and organizations that believe in increase competition through increased character.
Character Combine 2011 Location:
Vista del Lago High School in Folsom
Special Guests:
We have a great line-up of dynamic speakers including Troy Ellerman, former lawyer and author of Forging Iron, to Jerry Manuel, former major league manager; Mark Munoz, a UFC middle weight fighter; Jamie Whitmore, three-time triathlon champion and cancer survivor, and others we are excited about. Character Combine will impact and challenge all attendees. Coaches are encouraged to register and bring team captains or players of influence.
Determining to be a significant coach is a life-long journey. Players will move to the next level of life and should look back and realize that their coach offered them something that could take them beyond the playing court or field.
Character Combine pursues a partnership with coaches at all levels and sports in the Sacramento and Bay Area. Whether it's Little League or Division 1 NCAA, character remains essential to true success.
Through a half-day event, two main sessions create a learning environment where coaches are motivated to coach character in addition to talent and ability.
In the past, Character Combine has seen a great response. At a recent Character Combine, coaches from Stanford University, Cal, UC Davis, CSUS, area Junior Colleges, High Schools, Middle Schools, Special Olympics, Competition Teams, and Recreational Leagues attended. This cross cut of sports culture was a significant stride in making enhanced character a priority at all levels.
